Chimney Springs offers swimming, tennis, trails, and park facilities for our residents. The park at our lake has a clubhouse, playground, a sports field, basketball court, picnic tables, a firepit, swimming pool and tennis courts. Two mini-parks offer play areas away from the lake. Please see our community map for locations.
The Chimney Springs' tennis facilities have something for everyone - all levels of playing experience and all ages - anyone who wants to get some fresh air, exercise and have a chance to meet neighbors while competing at a great sport.
We have eight hard courts, all of which are well maintained
and lighted. Courts can be reserved at the tennis gazebo, located in the
center of the court facility. The Chimney Springs
Tennis Rules and Regulations are available on this web site, and
at the gazebo.
There are many teams available to join. To help get you started, you may want to:
The Official Rules of Tennis can be found on the USTA web site.
We have two trails in and around the lake. They are a great resource for exercise, or just enjoying pleasant stroll.
One trail follows the creek from Chimney Springs Drive to the lake area, and the other
circles the lake itself. We have a map showing both trails. The distance around the lake trail (staying
close to the lake and not coming into the parking lot) is approximately 3,000 feet
or 0.57miles. The creek trail between the tennis parking lot and Chimney Springs Drive is
approximately 1,350 feet or 0.26 miles. So...a trip back and forth along
the creek trail and once around the lake is a little over a mile.
Greetings from the pool deck!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. Can you believe its August already? Of course, you know what this means, back to school! Swim at Your Own Risk returns weekdays beginning August 10th. A SAYOR waiver form is included in this newsletter and available at www.chimneysprings.org.
The pool and the pool parking lot will be closing the day after Labor Day (September 8th) for clubhouse remodeling. If you haven’t seen the new plans, they are on the Chimney Springs website (www.chimneysprings.org.) These repairs are not only giving us a newly remodeled clubhouse, but will also add to our pool aesthetics. See you at the pool!
Official Pool Hours for Summer are as follows:

Weekdays August 10th to September 4th

The Sharks ended the season with victories over Post Oak and Sibley Forest. The team ended up 2nd in the Silver Division with a record of 4-1. It was a fun season and the swimmers and volunteers all did a great job. Thanks to our coaching staff, Marjie Range, Jordan Turner, Arthur Lo, Joey Allocca, Samantha Jones and Brittney Dressel for their hard work and dedication to the team. Thanks to Capozzi’s Pizza and Pasta for providing the dinner for the year end party. We finally made it through the party without rain and fun was had by all!
The Sharks were well represented at the Patti Wilder – Cobb County Qualifying meet, held at Mountain View Aquatic Center July 10-12. The following Sharks participated: Addison Bandoly, Lynn Bennett, James Calhoun, Natalie Campbell, Trip Campbell, Matt Chase, Anna Daugherty, Charlie Deatrick, Mary Deatrick, Sarah Dominguez, Harris East, Kate East, Austin Garner, Jackson Hammond, Haley Hutchings, Samantha Jones, Alexis Kwasnik, Dylan Kwasnik, Arthur Lo, Kevin Mason, Chris Newcomb, Dan Newcomb, Aidan Pierre, Lauren Riddle, Devonna Searcy, Sam Svoboda, Jordan Turner, Rafael Vieria, Samantha Walters, Ryan Whitehead and Jordan Yates. A number of our swimmers and relay teams had top 10 finishes at the County Meet and represented our team very well. Good luck to Natalie Campbell, who will be participating in the GRPA State Meet on July 24! Complete meet results were not available at the time of the newsletter deadline, but will be posted at http://prca.cobbcountyga.gov/SummerSwimLeague/.
Thanks again to everyone who volunteered and helped with the summer swim season! See everyone next summer for another great year of Sharks swimming!
